From living through first-hand experience of the lack of relatable support available to rural women, TRWC was developed.

TRWC Story

The Rural Women's Counsellor is a dedicated counselling service tailored to the needs of rural, remote, and isolated Australian women. Our services are exclusively online, accessible through telehealth video or phone calls, with flexibility in scheduling, including evenings and weekends, where possible.

At TRWC, we specialise in creating a safe and supportive space where rural women can find the relatable help they need. Founded and operated by Zoe Jackson, a rural mother, wife, and experienced counselling professional, our mission is deeply rooted in personal experience.

Zoe launched TRWC to address a critical gap she encountered during her lowest point in life. Living in a remote location, she sought support from a professional who could relate to her circumstances. Unfortunately, her experience left her feeling judged and isolated, believing that she was the problem. What she truly needed was reassurance that her feelings were normal and guidance on how to improve her well-being, regardless of her geographical location or rural lifestyle.

Zoe understands the importance of knowing that the path may be challenging, but it's worth the journey. She firmly believes that investing in one's well-being is possible even in remote settings. Zoe's unwavering commitment is to bridge the gap in mental health support and contribute to the ongoing mission of destigmatising mental health challenges, particularly for those who need it most: Rural Women.
